Intea and Amerikanska Gymnasiet have entered into a ten-year lease agreement for 2,800 sqm of classroom facilities on the university campus in Halmstad.
The premises were previously used by Halmstad University, which relocated last summer from the property now being leased to Amerikanska Gymnasiet to the newly built S Building. The existing design satisfies the tenant’s preferences and requirements. The lease covers the entire Fanan 60 property, which is located along Laholmsvägen. The annual contract is worth SEK 5.6 million.
Amerikanska Gymnasiet was founded in 2015 and has locations in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The school in Halmstad will open in August 2022, welcoming between 100 and 150 students. Over a period of three to four years, Amerikanska Gymnasiet aims to increase the number of students enrolled to 350–400 through some adjustments to the premises.
“Amerikanska Gymnasiet has spent the past two years actively looking for suitable premises in a prime location in Halmstad, so it’s fantastic that they’ve chosen to establish themselves in Intea’s building. We feel the move will also be a positive addition to the area, where a number of exciting projects are getting off the ground,” commented Johanna Tideman, Site Manager at Intea in Halmstad.
